Where and how far you want to go in your language learning will depend on your learning style and learning goals.
Thank you for choosing us to launch your journey!
Our Clips section does not follow a formal framework but nonetheless has a structured progression. It’s designed to introduce you to colloquialisms and other quirks in the way natives speak, so that you can transition smoothly between formal textbook language and idiomatic conversational expressions. As you progress through the lessons, you’ll learn how to respond to everyday (and sometimes complicated) situations like a native.
The lessons in our Courses section are designed to take a complete beginner to an intermediate level. Our English curriculum currently covers material up to A2 level (inclusive) under the CEFR, and our French and Spanish curriculums cover material up to A2/B1 level (inclusive). After working through a course, learners should be able to take part in simple conversations and complete tasks such as introducing themselves, talking about their experiences, explaining their thoughts and opinions, soliciting information and dealing with most travel situations.
The AI Tutor lets you practice speaking in conversations that have the spontaneity of real-life situations. You can choose from a wide range of different scenarios, and because AI Tutor’s responses aren’t pre-scripted, it helps you be more prepared and confident when you have a similar conversation in person. AI Tutor also provides personalised feedback and tailors its responses to your language level, so you have a learning tool that grows with you. (Currently available for members learning English. May not be available for all interface/display languages. We are working hard to make AI Tutor available in more languages soon.)
